Richard J. Lutzel was born May 9, 1966 in Smithtown, New York.  Rick attended college at The University of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York where he earned a BA in Communication and a BA in Business.  He then went on to law school at Syracuse University where he earned his JD.

Rick has concentrated his law practice to the area of personal injury litigation, wrongful death lawsuits, and catastrophic injury cases.  He has served as lead trial counsel in numerous mass action lawsuits in court rooms across the United States.  Rick has argued before the New York State Supreme Court and Court of Appeals as well as the North Carolina Court of Appeals and Superior Court.  He has been certified before the Federal Court and licensed to practice in North Carolina, South Carolina, New York and Washington, D.C.

Rick's work on behalf of injured individuals has resulted in verdicts and settlements that have insured the financial security of the individual and their family.

While in college Rick played football, lacrosse and hockey on the men's varsity teams.  He now devotes his free time to his family, his church and his community.  He has been married to Maria for 17 years and they have three sons together: Christopher, age 11, Luca age 7 and Matthew age 5.
