Estate Planning - WILLS and TRUSTS
Without a Will or a Trust, state law will dictate who receives your assets and who raises your minor children upon your passing. We believe that you can make those decisions better than the state legislature. However, we also understand that for many clients, estate planning can be very confusing and intimidating.
Our goal is to provide the most complete and easy to use estate plan possible. Not only will we draft a positive, enforceable, and solid plan for the future of your estate that will achieve your goals, we will also provide step by step instructions for you to follow in how to utilize the plan. We also provide step by step instructions for your family to follow in our proprietary Legacy Plan. The Legacy Plan is a guide created by our firm to enable your family to locate your assets, locate your beneficiaries and provide the information necessary to carry out your estate plan with ease. With over 28 years of experience, our lead estate planning attorney will assist you in preparing the plan that is right for you. Your plan may include a simple Last Will and Testament or a more complex Special Needs Trust or Revocable Living Trust. We will provide information, answer questions and address your concerns so that you can make the best decisions possible when it comes to your estate. We also provide Living Wills, Durable Power of Attorney and Health Care Power of Attorney.
With an office in Lake Norman we can serve clients from Mooresville, Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Troutman, Terrill and beyond; and an office in South Charlotte we can serve clients in Charlotte, Union County, York and Lancaster County, SC.

We live in a law-suit crazy, financially risky world; one where people unexpectedly lose their assets. More families, individuals and businesses get sued or go bankrupt each year. It can happen to anyone! That’s why so many people today are anxious to protect their wealth; they seek financial security and want peace of mind!
Asset protection is a strategy to title your savings, property, business, and other assets and to shield them from lawsuits and other claims. Asset protection is a safety net. It doesn’t guarantee that you won’t get sued or run into other financial issues; but if you do, you will lose fewer assets.
Not everyone gets sued. Not every lawsuit is wealth-threatening or the lawsuit may be fully covered by your insurance. But, if ever are sued, you certainly would want to be able to shield and shelter your assets from being lost in that lawsuit. Our goal is to give you the peace of mind that if something did happen, you were well protected. The key is to have a plan in place before any trouble arises. Waiting until a lawsuit develops is often times too late to do any protecting.
