History
After years of practicing Independently, Rick and Tina decided to join forces in 2004, forming Lutzel, Broadway and Associates. Tina had spent years focusing on real estate law while Rick had practiced in estate planning, business law, and asset protection. They found that their individual skills complemented each other’s in very positive ways. Since opening their doors, Rick and Tina have been helping people in North and South Carolina with their real property transactions as well as estate planning for their future and getting their businesses off the ground.

Tina Broadway began her academic career at Auburn University where she graduated with high honors with a degree in Criminal Justice. She then attended the University of Alabama School of Law. After graduating from law school, Tina clerked for the Circuit Court of Alabama. In 1993, Tina began a general practice and quickly focused her attention to real estate law. In 1997, Tina decided to strike out on her own, practicing real estate law. Tina has spent over twenty years practicing real estate law, representing the people of North Carolina while raising her two sons. On the weekends, she enjoys cheering on her Auburn Tigers, the Carolina Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes.

Rick grew up on Long Island as the youngest of three kids. He attended the State University of New York at Buffalo where he played football and lacrosse while earning degrees in business and communications. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Syracuse University College of Law. After graduating from law school with honors in 1991, he began his career as an Associate with a large firm. Rick opened his own firm in 2001 and joined forces with Tina Broadway in 2004. In his spare time Rick coaches high school football and lacrosse at SouthLake Christian Academy in Huntersville, NC. His oldest son, Chris, attended Baylor University in Texas where he played football. His son, Luca, attends Johns Hopkins University in Maryland where he too plays football. His youngest son, Matt, attends High Point University in NC where he plays lacrosse. He is active in his church and enjoys empty-nest time with his wife, Maria.
